BLIPS 9™
Originally developed in collaboration with the British Isles Lupus Assessment Group (BILAG), BLIPS has evolved over more than three decades into a specialist clinical assessment platform used in research and clinical environments worldwide.
With BILAG and MDAAT (MITAX) assessments, we design and maintain systems that ensure the standards established and clinically validated by the scale's authors in routine clinical practice are maintained and consistently applied in global clinical trials.
BLIPS 9 delivers real-time scoring, secure item-by-item data transmission, edit checking and data monitoring to support high-quality, standardised assessments across studies and institutions.
The same methodology used by the authors in their own clinics and taught within universities is carried through into clinical trials — supported by purpose-built, rigorously validated technology designed not only for the duration of a study, but for long-term use by research institutions.
This continuity is fundamental to BLIPS. Clinical methodology, validated assessment standards and the underlying data remain connected across generations of the platform, preserving the integrity and value of lupus research data over time.
