Ability to edit Previous BILAG History data

New screen visually similar to Previous BILAG History (aka Dummy Assessment) screen which allows editing of this data. This is accessed from the BLIPS Score Summary screen. If the assessment is the initial (dummy) assessment this is detected and opens the new screen rather than the BILAG General screen. The detection is based on the Assessor name which is set to “ System Generated” on these types of assessment.

Changes are subject to Audit Trail if enabled.

Warning – It is important to appreciate the implications of changing the original assessment data (or any previous assessment data for that matter). If the data is changed  or assessment recalculated resulting in an E changing to A,B,C, or D, then every subsequent assessment may need to be recalculated to ensure E thereafter change to D.

System Admin now provided with summary screens and access to reports

System Administrators may on Clinical Trials may be CRAs who do not have access to the data entry screens, but require to view and check data. Two new improvements have been made.

BLIPS Report Status Screen – provides a listing of all assessments on one screen. Each assessment in the listing has six Red/Green report indicators. Red indicates that the data has been updated since the last report was generated. A link is provided to the BLIPS Score summary Screen which will allow individual reports to be printed. An additional feature on the status screen is six Print All (BILAG, SLICC. etc) buttons, which will print every assessment of that type in one job. It will also reset all the respective indicators to green. The new screen is accessed from the Analysis and Reports Button on the Main Menu, and also from the new Data Audit tab in the System Administrator

BLIPS Data Audit Screen – a new Tab in the System Administrator section. This lists all the patients in the data base in the left of the screen, and all the Assessment scores for the selected Patient on the right of the screen. This allows a quick check to detect any missing data, assessments, or visits. Links are provide to the Report Status Screen and the BLIPS Score Summary screen

All BILAG Screens – Navigate Button

It has always been possible to exit BILAG screens via the Navigate button. This previously carried a warning that the Score should be re-calculated if changes had been made. Calculations were made by pressing the Generate Results button. The code has now been re-written to ensure that the scores are calculated whenever the Navigate, Generate Scores or Next Screen buttons are pressed. It is no longer  possible to exit the screen (legally) without recalculating the data. It is also not possible to leave the screen without the latest data being transferred to the Score Summary screen.

060108-02

All BILAG Screens – No Involvement Button

The code has now been re-written to ensure that the scores are calculated whenever No Involvement button is pressed. It is no longer necessary to press the Generate Results button. If any scores are changed after the No Involvement button is pressed, then pressing the Generate Results will generate the new score. In the event a user changes data and forgets to press the Generate Results button, the Next screen or Navigate button will now recalculate the score before the screen closes.

060129-01

Path/ File Error in Add New Patients Screen

When a new patient is created a unique subdirectory for this patient is created in the Reports Folder. If the reports folder does not exist as defined in the System Administrator screen then the Path File error message is displayed. This Error message has been trapped and replaced by a more descriptive message advising how to resolve the problem..

060131-01

System Administrator Screen –Reports Location

Warning message prior to user changing the default location. Warns of requirement to create the new folder manually, and of consequences for existing patients if subfolders are not relocated also.

060602-01

Add New Patient

Warning message indicating that default visit number will be out of sequence if a later assessment already exists.

060602-02

Patient Switchboard

SF36 scores  were not displaying in the Assessment history section. Display has been corrected.

060602-03

Patient Switchboard – Deleting Patients

Numerous requests have been made to delete patients which are erroneously added. This is technically not advisable as it can orphan assessment records in other tables making them inaccessible and non-removable, thus leaving corrupt data in the database.

Instead of deletion, a method of archiving unwanted patients has been introduced. A new field named Attender is available in the Edit Patient Details screen. The default is to have this box checked. If the box is unchecked it will prevent the patient being listed in the default view of the Patient Switchboard, effectively hiding the undesired record. The screen may need to be refreshed to reflect changes immediately. Pressing the ALL button will show all records regardless of Attender status.

060205-01

Export To Excel

Data exports to Excel – Patient Index, BILAG and SLICC Analysis screens, Adverse Events - have been rewritten to accommodate the latest versions of Excel. These will now export by default to the Reports folder as defined in the System Administrator

060205-02

Patient Switchboard - Assessment Scheduler

Bug in assessment scheduler meant the scheduler was not visible in Patient Switchboard even when enabled. Fixed

060205-03

Assessment Scheduler

Mobile Phone field added to Assessment Scheduler

060205-04

Email Registration

Email Registration has been changed from pdf format to snp format (Microsoft Snapshot). Several reasons – not everybody has Adobe acrobat to create pdf, snapshots are not editable, and lastly inability to view the snapshot file will remind user to install snapshot viewer.

060205-05

Email Registration on Expiry

Request to add email registration to options for users who allow their program to expire without registering. Now offers option to print followed by option to e-mail.

060630-01

International Installations

Installations on non-English versions of Windows do not always offer C:\Program Files\Blips 4 Aspreva as the default installation directory. Changes to the installation configuration file now over-ride the Windows preference and force all installations to the correct default of C:\Program Files\Blips 4 Aspreva regardless of Windows language settings.
